Baiduri Bank, in collaboration with DARe (Darussalam Enterprise), organized a workshop for its “Baiduri SME Empowerment Series” at the iCentre auditorium of Anggerek Desa from March 22 to 24 to continue supporting the economic program of the countries aiming to diversify beyond the oil and gas sector.

Since April 2019, workshops tailored to micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) have been held, covering topics ranging from e-commerce to product marketing. The workshop titled “A Strategic Planning Development Workshop” was led by Dr Sophiana Chua binti Abdullah, who founded A Vision A Day Company and is also a Strategic Planning Consultant at EpiPeople Consultants. Its main objective is to assist public and private sector staff in developing their strategic planning.

About 20 local businesses participated in the interactive training workshop aimed at making them develop a strategic plan using strategic thinking and systems thinking. Participants learned how to use practical strategic planning development tools and techniques in their plans and discussed how to align high-level visions at all levels of their business. The workshop ended with a clinic to apply what they learned in a real scenario.

The partnership between Baiduri Bank and DARe aims to implement a series of professional training workshops designed to complement the existing training programs offered by DARe’s Industry Business Academy (IBA), offering a more comprehensive training program and more comprehensive to local entrepreneurs, enabling them to achieve greater success in their businesses.
